What:Snowshoe Marathon (7,200 feet of elevation change), Half Marathon, and 6 miler. Ten hour time limit and some really cool sledding on our 1 mile downhill sledding course. 100 Mile race features 28,000 feet of elevation change. This is the perfect event to get you in shape for the new spring and summer season. Please register early as this event fills up quickly. Location:Amee Farm on the right 1/4 mile north of the Village of Pittsfield, VT. Look for the white barn and the cars and banners. Vertical Ice Climbing Enthusiasts (VICE) is pleased to give a presentation to the participants of the 2010 Pittsfield Snowshoe Marathon. We will share a collection of our greatest stories and epic adventures from the past two years. VICE will show footage of mountaineering trips to the Pacific Northwest and South America. We will premier a new movie about ice climbing in New England. VICE greatly appreciates this opportunity to share stories with an audience of like-minded outdoor adventure enthusiasts.

Course:* 6.55 mile loops. Trail (un-groomed) and snowmobile trails. Course will be marked with ribbons and signs. Marathon - 4 loops. Half Marathon - 2 loops. Aid:One aid station on the course and one aid station at the start/finish. Entry Fee:$50.00 by Oct. 1 and 60.00 by feb 1 and 75 their after. All entrants will receive a sweet beenie hat and a post race meal and presentation. 100 mile event is $125. Prize Money:$700.00 for the marathon only. The award money will be distributed to the top three men and women - $200.00 for 1st place, $100.00 for 2nd place, and $50.00 for third place.
